A fan-made PC port of Ratchet & Clank, the 2002 PlayStation 2 game. It runs natively on your computer, using your own copy of the game.

No. ReRAC runs natively, like any other PC game.

No. ReRAC is an unofficial fan project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Sony Interactive Entertainment or Insomniac Games.

Yes, as an early alpha. The first test build is out for Macs with Apple Silicon, so expect rough edges.

Yes. The game and the launcher are both on GitHub under the ISC licence. None of the original game is included: it always comes from your own disc. See For developers.

No. You need your own copy on disc. The launcher reads the game from an image of it, once.

I have a Greatest Hits disc. Will it work?

Only if it matches version 1.00. The launcher checks when you add it.

Not here. ReRAC only works with a disc you own. Dumping your disc shows how to make an image of it.

Does ReRAC need my disc every time I play?

No. The launcher reads it once. After that, you just press Play.

For now, Macs with Apple Silicon. That’s the only system it’s tested on. Windows and Linux are planned.

It sets up the game from your disc, keeps ReRAC up to date and starts it. Later, it will manage mods too.

Can I export the game’s textures, sounds or models?

Yes, from your own copy. In the launcher, choose ⋯ → Export assets…. See Using the launcher.
